In February, Mefford Contracting proudly completed the Versailles Fire Department Design-Build Renovation and Addition.

Our team delivered a complete suite of services, encompassing architectural design from initial concepts to final plans, permitting, and construction documents, along with full MEP engineering and comprehensive construction management—all within a budget of just under $1.2 million.

Located in the heart of Versailles, KY, the 21,000-square- foot facility now features a fully renovated living space, expanded second floor for office space, and upgraded truck bays. The original building did not meet current code, so we designed and implemented solutions for enhanced fire suppression and firewall separations, ensuring the station meets modern safety standards.

In addition to structural upgrades, we installed a new HVAC system, roof, and flooring. The exterior features striking standing seam metal panels, carefully positioned at a 70-degree angle – a testament to our commitment to precision craftsmanship and modern aesthetics.

We’re honored to have deliver a station that not only meets the operational needs of our firefighters but also stands as a visually impressive and functional space for those who serve our community.
